Teens, College Students, and Young Adults

ONLINE THERAPY FOR YOUNG ADULTS & COLLEGE STUDENTS LIVING IN CALIFORNIA

College is a season of rapid change. Academic pressure, independence, relationships, identity development, and uncertainty about the future often converge all at once. Many college students experience anxiety, overwhelm, difficulty focusing, homesickness, or a sense of disconnection during this transition—even when things look “fine” on the outside.

I provide online therapy for college students and young adults in California and enjoy working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. In therapy, my focus is on helping students develop emotional awareness, practical coping skills, and a stronger sense of internal steadiness as they navigate stress, decisions, and emerging adulthood.
Our work may include exploring anxiety, motivation, relationships, boundaries, technology use, self-expectations, or questions about purpose and direction. Therapy is not about fixing who you are—it’s about understanding what’s getting in the way and building skills that support clarity, resilience, and follow-through.

For students who come from LDS families or cultural backgrounds, I bring additional familiarity with the values, expectations, and family dynamics that can shape this stage of life. That cultural understanding can reduce the need to explain context and help therapy feel more efficient and grounded—without making sessions religious or faith-focused unless that is something the student wants to explore.

What I offer students
  • Consistent Support: Weekly or bi-monthly online counseling sessions during the school year to help you stay grounded and on track.
  • Goal Setting: Clarify both short- and long-term goals, and discover self-motivation techniques to enjoy the journey with more confidence and ease.
  • Emotional Healing: Work through challenges and past trauma, transforming them into stepping stones that strengthen you for adulthood.
  • Life Skills: Build practical “adulting” skills—like regulating emotions, managing relationships, and increasing productivity—so you can move forward with purpose and confidence.
